Join Nisus Corporation as a Research Scientist specializing in wood protection and forest products innovation. This role is ideal for an experienced scientist who is passionate about developing sustainable wood protection technologies, improving product performance, and supporting innovation within the wood products industry.

This position works closely with research, manufacturing, product development, and technical service teams to help drive new technologies and support customers across the industry. What You’ll Do

• Lead research projects focused on wood protection technologies and new product development
• Support development and improvement of wood treatment products and processes
• Conduct testing and analysis on wood and composite performance
• Provide technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments on innovation initiatives
• Present research findings at industry conferences and technical events
• Support customer training and new plant startups as needed

Qualifications

• PhD in Wood Science, Forest Products, Materials Science, Forestry, Chemical Engineering, or related field OR
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in wood protection or related industry experience

Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

• Wood protection
• Wood chemistry and modification
• Engineered wood and composites
• Biological testing of wood materials Preferred Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Public speaking and presentation experience
• Statistical analysis and scientific writing capabilities
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
